Registration For Fall Quarter Now Available

***SPECIAL REGISTRATION NOTE***

PERMIT TECHNICIAN (COAP 101): Registration is open to individuals transitioning into a new career or advancing as a Permit Technician, Building Inspector, or Plans Examiner. In this completely online self-paced program an individual will gain a greater understanding of the Building Code Administration.

BUILDING INSPECTOR (COAP 201): Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program. If you are a new student and feel you meet the qualifications to participate, after reviewing the Detailed List of Learning Objectives, please email Melissa at the WABO Office for a possible waiver. Waiver requests must be submitted no later than 15 days prior to the first day of class.

PLANS EXAMINER (COAP 301): Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program. If you are a new student and feel you meet the qualifications to participate, after reviewing the Detailed List of Learning Objectives, please email Melissa at the WABO Office for a possible waiver. Waiver requests must be submitted no later than 15 days prior to the first day of class.

DUAL REGISTRATION: Register for PERMIT TECHNICIAN (COAP 101) and BUILDING INSPECTOR (COAP 201). With this option an individual will be enrolled in two classes concurrently. You will be required to participate and complete assignments in each weekly class. PLEASE NOTE: If an individual registers under this option the class requirements are approximately 20+ hours per week.

The instructors have provided the program a list of required course material. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure they have access to the required material prior to the first day of class. Many of the required books may be purchased from the WABO Bookstore or free limited access through ICC Digital Access.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL POLICY

A student may withdraw from class at any time during the quarter and receive no credit or CEU's. Withdrawal notice must be submitted in writing to the WABO office by mail or email, the instructor cannot withdraw a student. Without written notice the student continues to be enrolled in class, attendance and course work will be expected. A student who stops attending class and does not properly withdraw will receive a grade of "F". Once proper notification is given, the student will be removed from the class roster. Students working towards certificates of completion and accreditation will need to re-register and complete class when offered next. The student may be eligible for all or partial refund of fees (See Class Refund Policy) and will not be eligible for scholarship reimbursement for the class.

CLASS REFUND POLICY

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the WABO office. Refunds will be given as follows:
Day 1 - 7 (Week 1): 90%, Day 8 - 14 (Week 2): 75%, Day 15 - 21 (Week 3): 50%, Day 22+ (Week 4 and Beyond): NO REFUND

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Washington Association of Building Officials is pleased to offer the Code Official Accreditation Program Scholarship.
All scholarship applications are due no later then 30 days from the date grades are to be posted.
LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
