WABO Technical Code Development Schedule

The WABO Technical Code Development (TCD) Committee is currently in hiatus and will kick off the next ICC code development cycle at the end of August.  We will spend the months leading up to the ICC Group A Committee Action Hearing #1 in April 2027 developing and reviewing proposed code changes, identifying issues of statewide importance, and coordinating input from Washington code officials and industry partners. The committee’s work will focus on evaluating proposals for technical merit, consistency with Washington’s code priorities, and potential impacts on jurisdictions, designers, builders, and the public. As the hearings approach, TCD will prepare members to participate effectively in the ICC process by discussing key proposals, developing recommended positions where appropriate, and encouraging informed engagement throughout the 2030 I-Code development cycle.  Whether you would like to be an active participant or just want to follow TCD’s work, contact the WABO Office at [email protected] or Jon Siu at [email protected] (opens in a new tab) to be placed on the TCD mailing list.
