Day 1: Anatomy of an Installation (Manufactured Home Installation) ICC Preferred Provider Training 0.7 CEU's

Instructor: Charles Parton (FAS Technical Specialist) - Department of Labor & Industries

WABO and the Department of Labor & Industries have joined to provide a hands on training experience for the inspection of manufactured home installation. This seminar will include classroom training and field instruction on what to look for when inspectors are onsite inspecting HUD approved homes.

This course is designed for Building Inspectors.

Day 2: Electric Vehicle Requirements in the Model Codes ICC Preferred Provider Training 0.7 CEU's

Instructors: Chris Jensen (NEC, UL Standards) - UL and Mike Stone (NEC, IECC) - NEMA
Panelists: Richard Williams (Accessibility) - CWA Consultants, Kim Barker (Energy Code) - King County, and James Tumelson (Electrical/Utility's WA) - City of Edgewood

This presentation/Panel discussion will cover the requirements for electric vehicles in the NEC, IECC, IBC, IRC, IFC, and ICC A117.1. This seminar will incorporate the following:

  • 2 hr. Presentation on the 2023 NEC requirements for EVs - Chris Jensen/Mike Stone
    • Cover Articles 625 Electric Vehicle Power Transfer System, 220 Branch-Circuit, Feeder, and Service Load Calculations, 750 Energy Management Systems
  • 2 hr. Presentation on the 2024 IECC requirements for EVs - Mike Stone
    • Cover the new requirements that are being introduced in the 2024 IECC for EVs cover WA Energy Code Requirements for EVs
  • 1 hr. Presentation on EV requirements in other codes - Chris Jensen
    • Cover EV requirements in the IBC, IRC, IFC, ICC A117.1, etc.
  • 2 hr. Round Table discussion with open dialogue with attendees on challenges, issues, and concerns regarding EV and EV installations
    • Panelists: Richard Williams, Kim Barker, James Tumelson, Mike Stone, and Chris Jensen

This course is designed for Inspectors, Plans Examiners, Designers, and Installers.
